As you are aware, Nordstrom is dedicated to working with Partners who share a regard for Socially Responsible business practices. Nordstrom¡¯s Social Compliance Department has a top priority of working closely with partnering facilities to ensure factory compliance is being met. Our goal is to foster continuous improvement in the factories producing our product through collective efforts between the factory, supplier, monitoring companies and Nordstrom.
 
This letter is to inform you all factories producing for Nordstrom Product Group will undergo annual Comprehensive Factory Audits performed by our 3rd Party Monitoring Partners. These audits begin November 2003, and consist of a factory tour, records review, and management and employee interviews. These audits will occur every 12 months, and depending upon the audit results, more frequently. We want to stress that our goal is to partner and assist in any remediation process that may follow the audit. The following is a quick timeline of the process and expectations.
